Oh my gosh, since when did it become acceptable to dress like a complete slut on Halloween. I'm looking for a costume, sort of scoping them out online before I go searching for one, and I'm seeing a trend in all of these costumes. Hemlines are seeming to become nonexistent with these costumes. I mean its not like Halloween is in the middle of July and you want to wear shorts, how sexy is it to wear a costume that is so skimpy you have to cover up with sweatshirts and jeans underneath of it. It is at the end of October, when its already starting to get cold and night time temps are in the 50's.
I'm going to a few Halloween parties this year and I do want to feel kinda sexy but seriously you can't go around in a skirt that doesn't even cover your butt, with a tank top on. Sorry about the rant but it is just irritating me.
Wow, I didn't know you could say stuff like that, but I totally agree. Most of the costumes I see nowadays make girls look like two-bit whores. I mean, isn't Halloween about dressing as something scary or something cool? Anymore, you see girls dressing as something and you expect them to say "fi dollar, me love you long time" or something. Lisa, I totally agree with you, I'm scoping out costumes too, I'm really leaning towards this costume I seen at Hot Topic in the Florence Mall, it's a female mobster costume called Ms. Mafia. It has a black fedora, black pinstripe suit and vest, and a red tie, it's not slutty or anything, it looks like a regular suit and the hat is a real fedora, I love those hats! I think you would look good in anything, you can always get something to make you look cool, or for added shock value, go as something your friends would never expect you to go as, last year, I went as the killer from Scream, it scared the crap out of the little kids in Delhi, where I usually give out candy. But I will strongly agree with you, this year the costumes are getting sluttier, the bustline on costumes is dropping lower than an elevator in freefall, the skirt lines are rising like a flood level. Do people realize Halloween is about cool and scary, not sleazy?
