I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing with my life. This is my second semester at Gateway in the Visual Communications field and I'm done. I don't like doing most of the things I'm doing. Don't get me wrong I think the photoshop class is fun and Strategic concepts is fun, but as I'm going through the motions of these classes and trying to learn some things I feel myself getting pulled into a different direction. I know that this blog is supposed to be advertising ourselves to the design community but I just don't think I'm cut out for this field.
If anyone is particularly curious I'm thinking about going into the field of Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education. After I discovered this major I did one of those "V8 slaps" on my forehead. I don't know why I haven't been pursuing this career more. Why did it just now hit me that I should get into a career that deals with kids. I love kids. My job at Little Red has made me realize how much I actually love hanging out with children, talking to them, and teaching them.
Its like completely opposite professions, going from design to child care/education. But I'm excited to see how it will work out.
I say go for it. If child education is the career that you want to go into, than you go right ahead and do it, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
